Barcelona KeenCon 2024 aims to bring together the world’s best Quake players in a team competition. Barcelona KeenCon 2024 will feature a 2V2 LAN tournament, instead of a duel tournament like in previous editions, with 16 team slots and a base prize pool of €5,000 to be augmented via donations and funding from sponsors.

To qualify for Barcelona KeenCon 2024, the teams will have to finish as a top 14 of the KeenCon Team Series. The remaining two slots will be awarded via organizer invitations.

The Barcelona KeenCon 2024 will kick off with a Group Stage, hosting 8 pairs per group on day 1, with matches played at BO3.

The top 4 pairs from each group will qualify to a double elimination KO phase which will be played in BO3 maps on day 2 and BO5 maps on day 3 (including the Loser Bracket).

The Grand Final will be played best of 5 maps with a re-match to BO3 if the Upper Bracket winner is defeated initially.

* Players from all countries are welcome in the tournament, but to be eligible you must be able to attend the Barcelona KeenCon 2024 in Barcelona (Spain) in person.

The past 2nd March, KeenCon launched the KeenCon Team Series, a series of monthly online tournaments played in pairs, with a prize pool of €400 per month, which serves as a qualifier for the Barcelona KeenCon 2024.

The top 14 teams will get a spot in the LAN Party held in Barcelona on November 1-3, and the top 8 teams will receive a €250 grant as a financial aid for the trip to Barcelona.
